Annesley No 4_p14 Up and Down

BR Standard Class 5 4-6-0 no. 73156 appears in the Register for the first time at 9.37 am on the Down on Wednesday 15th August. It was a Leicester Central (15E) engine and is recorded in this Train Register on five days in August. Noteworthy because the engine is preserved and is currently at the Great Central Railway, Loughborough.

 

In the Gallery there is a photo of 73156 at Cricklewood shed. Although this shed was not on Great Central metals it was used, after Neasden shed closed in June 1962, to service GC Locomotives. When Cricklewood closed to steam in December 1964 the servicing transferred to Willesden. The below link give more detail:
