The Cocoon nebula is an emission nebula in the constellation of Cygnus. A dark nebula, Barnard 168 (B168), trails to the west from the bright pink emission nebula. This is a particularly star rich region of the Milky Way.
The field of view is 2.4 by 1.8 degrees.
