Silver bust of Serapis on view at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Gallery 169, is a graceful work of silver art from Mid-Imperial period. According to the Metropolitan Museum of Art: "Silver busts of Serapis are mentioned in an inscription found in Rome, but this is apparently the only extant example. The modius (grain basket) always shown on the god’s head is now missing."
The dimension of object are 6 1/8 x 3 3/4 in. (15.6 x 9.5 cm). The bust was a Gift of Jan Mitchell and sons, 1991. The image is in the Public Domain and can be seen on the museum's website.
