homage to a friend

four or five months ago i was losing a battle with traumatic arthritis but was too proud to accept a cane until a friend prevailed upon me to do so, and to use the increased ambulatory abilities to take a few shots while i was at it. i thought about that this afternoon, while out on a safari instead of at home, in a chair, and so with tongue firmly in cheek, i stopped to offer a modest appreciation.
