Terracotta Situla (Bucket)-27.122.3

This piece, Terracotta Situla is from early 3rd century BC, the Etruscan Hellenistic Period. It stands at 8 and a half inches tall, and is made from terracotta with black glaze. The reliefs on it depict Apollo and the satyr Marsyas. It was purchased by The Met in 1927 with the Fletcher Fund and can be seen today in Gallery 170. It's accession number is 27.122.3.
