“Head of a women” was found in Greece and is thought to have been made around the 3rd- 2nd Century B.C. during the Hellenistic period, this is evident because “Her center-parted wavy hair, rolled into an up-do, reflects the style of the later Hellenistic period…”. This beautiful piece was made of marble and is 6 9/16 x 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches according to the CMA. This piece was brought to the Cleveland Museum of Art by Liberty E. Holden in 1916 and currently can be found in the Greek section of the museum at location 102C. clevelandart.org/art/1916.831
