White-Ground Lekythos (Oil Vessel): Atalanta and Erotes 1966.114_web

The White-Ground Lekythos is from 500-490 BC and attributed to Douris. This piece is from Greek, Attic. With a ceramic medium and dimensions of 31.8 cm (12 1/2 in.) this vase depicts a story of a huntress opposing marriage to Eros, the God of love. It is on display at the Cleveland Museum of Art in their Greek collection under 1966.114 and it is from Leonard C. Hanna, Jr. Fund in 1966. This image is in the public domain.
