Sword Hilt - 1985.185_print

"Sword Hilt," on view at the Cleveland Museum of Art, is an alluring hand carved piece of coral from Pakistan, Gandhara, Kushan Period. The shade of pale coral and the engravings of swirls and such are eye catching. It gives off a lustrous gleam, almost as if it were a gem. The overall dimensions of the hilt are 4 x 4.3 cm. The sculpture was a Gift of Professor Samuel Eilenberg in honor of Dr. Stanislaw Czuma 1985.185. The image is in the Public Domain and can be seen on the museum's website.
