A beautiful Female Figurine made from terracotta that was molded and then painted. Dated 400 - 200 BC, from Greece, Tanagra (Boetia), 4th - 3rd Century BC. Traces of color can be seen on the figurine's hair and dress. The draped dress and details of the hair show the skills of the artist. The overall size is 23.5 cm (9 1/4 in.).
It was purchased from the J. H. Wade Fund 1926.522 by the The Cleveland Museum of Art.
