Hidden Peril

A male Sparrowhawk. He was patiently waiting to ambush garden birds, from a perch only 2ft/0.6m above the ground, and 30ft/9.1 m from our french windows. He stayed for over 30 minutes, and although he pounced on an unsuspecting Blackbird, the Blackbird escaped, and the Sparrowhawk left empty-handed. This shot was handheld and was taken through the glass doors.
