Pair of Deity Earrings with Vishnu on Garuda and Chepu monster mask, created in Nepal, Kathmandu Valley during the 1600’s, is an exquisite gold set with precious and semi-precious stones. The ornate pair of earrings is now in the ArtLens Exhibition A inside the Cleveland Museum of Art. The overall dimensions of each earring are 9.5 x 6.9 cm (3 ¾ x 2 11/16 in). The Deity Earrings was a part of a set that was a gift of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Wade; the accession number is 2002.13. The jewelry can be viewed in the Nepalese Art collection.
