Orange
This shot was taken as a tabletop exercise in October 2018, most likely because one of the theme–based groups I belonged to had chosen “orange” as the week’s theme.
I do not remember the technical details of the lighting, so I cannot describe them and post to groups that require that sort of information. My two Phottix Pro Indra500 monolights were certainly involved, plus maybe one or two cobra flashes, as well as modifiers (diffusers) and scrims...
This is another one of those photos taken with the “cheap” 60mm Nikkor macro lens, which proved an excellent performer at that distance too.
I remember buying it second–hand simply to use with the ES–2 film and slide reproduction thingy, which I bought but ended up never using, which is too bad as I still have some slides from the days of film that I could digitize... Now, with the announcement of the new 105mm macro and the new “cheap” 50mm (on which the aforementioned ES–2 fits), all sorts of possibilities will open up again...
What is for sure, is that I will buy that 105 ASAP... I’ve been waiting for so long for that lens! I even have created a Flickr group for it already: www.flickr.com/groups/14791323@N21/
