Mother Goddess
This item is entitled "Mother Goddess" believed to have been sculpted in the 400s-500s AD in Northwestern India C, Rajasthan, during the Gupta Period. The detentions of the sculpture are overall: 79.4 x 23.2 cm (31 1/4 x 9 1/8 in.) its small size suggesting it was a personal devotional image.
This piece is on display in The Cleveland Museum of Art in the Indian and Southeast Asian collection (number 243) associated with the Indian Art Collection
This piece was a purchase from the J. H. Wade Fund 1970.12
