Cannon Salute II
Just for fun...and a challenge...I decided to finish the roll in my Mamiya 645 1000S during the cannon salute at the Fort Leavenworth's Independence Day celebration. The sun was low in the West to the right of the frame and I took a straight incident meter reading to expose the shot. I timed the shot to coincide with the PA announcing the State and then I carefully watched the soldiers as they prepared to pull the lanyard to fire the cannon. I shot 6 frames to finish the roll and actually got a couple of nice shots with the fire and smoke coming out of the cannon. Captured with my Mamiya 645 1000S using an 80mm lens. JCH Streetpan 400 film developed with D76 at 1:1 dilution.
