Seated Buddha made out of gold with resin core dates before 1424 in Thailand, Ayutthaya and Wat Ratchaburana. The overall dimension is 10.6 cm (4 3/16 in.). This piece is in the Cleveland Museum Art (Gift of John L. Severance Fund 1999.316), but is not currently on view. According to the Cleveland Museum of Art, "The style is typical of the last phase of Khmer art (9th-15th centuries), the Lapburi style, which combines characteristics of both Cambodian and Thai sculptural styles."
