Plaster Face Casts
Plaster face casts that I made for a project titled ‘Serendipity’, in which I chose to look at the Japanese art of kintsugi; the act of repairing broken pottery with gold, instead of hiding the fact it has been broken, they embrace the flaw. I decided to look at how this concept can be applied to people as well, so after making these face casts I smashed them and then repaired them with gold.
