Bike Racing in Bentonville
This is one of the Team CLIF riders at the Epic Rides 50-mile OZ Trails mountain bike race in Bentonville, AR from last fall. I did the amateur race on Saturday then photographed the pro race on Sunday.
Shooting in the forest under pouring rain and thick overcast, this was a great chance to test the higher ISO capabilities of the X-T3, which had just been released. At ISO 1600, it performed quite well and produced very sharp images.
I think this is helped by using the monochrome ACROS film stetting, which has an excellent grain structure, even at higher ISO speeds. In addition, the added visual power of black and white can make up for the inherent loss of sharpness and quality that becomes more apparent when shooting in color under extremely dim lighting conditions.
