Pollen-coated Violet Carpenter Bee

The Polygala blooms have proven very popular with Violet Carpenter Bees, this year. I love following them around, as they dig deep inside the flowers to sip nectar. When the sun shines on their gorgeous blue wings, the sight is worth a thousand words !
