Chapter Four: The Nightblade
Honey and Elysion barely escaped the demon’s grasp, whisked away to a hidden sanctuary where time itself seemed to bend. As their vision cleared, they saw it: The Nightblade, a towering monument of obsidian and moonlight, guarded by an angelic merperson. Their eyes shimmered like stars, and their long, silver hair flowed with an unseen breeze.
"You seek The Nightblade?" the merperson’s voice echoed, soft yet commanding. "Only those pure of heart may wield it, against those whose souls are lost to corruption. Why should you be worthy?"
Honey felt the weight of their gaze, heart pounding, but they stood firm. "I seek The Nightblade to save our world from a demon’s destructive plans," they replied, voice steady.
The merperson’s eyes gleamed. "Then prove it," they whispered, stepping aside. "But beware—the Nightblade answers only to the purest."
As the ground hummed with power, Honey knew their fate was about to unfold.
