Home Remedies for Lower Back Pain

Lower back pain can indeed be a bother as even simple tasks can be made difficult because of it. Here are a few things you can try independently at home to help with lower back pain.

• Applying heat and ice packs alternatively can help. Typically, warm compress before activity and ice pack after is what is recommended.

• Stretching and strengthening lower back muscles will help immensely. Ask a physiotherapist for help to do the exercises the correct way.

• Avoid strenuous activity – this does not mean prolonged periods of rest. Rather carrying on with activities while avoiding only what worsens the pain.
