Die Gemeinde Ramsau liegt im Nationalpark Berchtesgaden umrandet von den bekannten Gebirgsmassiven Watzmann, Reiteralm und Hochkalter. Ramsau ist das Dorf mit der wohl höchsten Bergführerdichte in Bayern und ganz Deutschland. Es gilt daher als echtes Bergsteigerdorf. Die Pfarrkirche St. Sebastian gehört zu den weltberühmten Motiven in der Landschaftsmalerei.

 

The municipality of Ramsau is located in the Berchtesgaden National Park, surrounded by the famous Watzmann, Reiteralm and Hochkalter mountain ranges. Ramsau is the village with the highest concentration of mountain guides in Bavaria and all of Germany and is therefore considered a real mountaineering village. The parish church of St. Sebastian is one of the world-famous motifs in landscape painting.

 

a walk I decided

to take one day . . .

leaving behind the car

and I have to say

I forgot my wellingtons

and my feet got wet

I lost my balance

and broke into a sweat

to save my camera

as it nearly got dropped

so busy looking at the bridge

my mind was full of options

sense was overlooked :-)

but all turned out well

as you can see . . .

it's such a lovely place

sights and sounds indeed
