Antonito Turn @ La Fruto

#PRLX4687 [SD70M] continuing its journey south to Antonito, CO to work customers on an overcast Sunday afternoon. The Sangre de Cristo (“Blood of Christ”) mountain range looms off in the distance.

Here, at La Fruto, on the former D&RGW San Juan extension, stands what appears to be an old freight warehouse that more than likely once received rail service long ago. The property surrounding the building is littered with derelict vehicles from past generations.
