More tranquil than I was feeling!
The peaceful surroundings of Waterhead Creek, an offshoot of the Kingsbridge Estuary just east of Salcombe in Devon.
We had just driven down a single-track, and ever-narrowing, road with high banks on both sides (and no passing places), which became less & less road-like as we proceeded downwards. The Mini doesn't have a great deal of ground clearance, so roads which are higher in the centre than on the edges can be a bit nerve-wracking, especially if they are narrow, rough & pot-holey! Thus we were very relieved to arrive at the bottom without meeting anybody coming in the opposite direction.
However there was a challenge of a different nature at the bottom - a stream to ford! Thankfully the tide wasn't high so it wasn't a problem, though I did have to park the car in it to get out and take this shot!
