Passageway high in the Western ward of Caernarfon Castle. Built after the conquest of Wales by King Edward I of England (Longshanks) as part of The Iron Ring. A series of forts from which English garrisons could launch sorties against uprisings. Caernarfon, North Wales 1283AD
