/Protector-331 Sgt “Reaper”\

After the gunship incident, GAR intelligence told us that they had seen a dark cloaked figure running through the halls of the abandoned, ancient Jedi temple that was located near Bravo Base. Most of the enhanced clone units of the 253rd were sent there to investigate the mysterious figure.

 

Me and CT-0962 were some of the last clones to arrive at the temple, as we had been assigned to help with more of the cleanup at the landing pad where the gunship had exploded. Because of our lateness, We sprinted almost all the way there, through a rough stone path cut into the gray rock that made up most of the planet. Once the path got closer to the ancient temple, me and CT-0962 were forced to be careful to not slip on the various patches of snow and ice that lay closer to the structure. Because of all the clones that had ran through this area already, the ice and snow patches were packed to the ground, making them more slippery. This and the steep steps of the temple we had to stop our brisk sprint, and go to a slower, more careful walk. Only then did I realize that my snow gear had become soaked with sweat, and I could imagine that my friend’s armor was like this as well.

 

As I had finished climbing up the steps I saw a flash of black out of the corner of my visor. Signaling to CT-0962 to move behind one of the crumbling pillars that was adjacent to me. I was also crouching behind a pillar, preparing for the attack that I knew would come... Then, I heard chatter on my built in comm on my helmet. “It’s heading towards the steps, Repeat, It’s heading towa-ahhhgggg” and then the comms fell silent.

 

The disturbing silence made me clutch my blaster in case anything or anyone tried to come through here. All I knew was, to get through us, it would be a hell of a fight. But what I didn’t know, was that the fight came quicker than expected, and the odds were certainly against us.

 

The first notice that the dark figure was near was the choking sense of darkness that was emitting from it. And then the bright crimson lightsaber blade that was emitted from its black ornamental hilt that was barely visible on all of its black clothing. CT-0962 kneeled down and checked his long blaster to make sure that it was loaded. I also checked my blaster to prepare for the fight that I knew would come in mere seconds.....
