Not waving but dancing

First clear sky since I don't know when drew me outside in the extreme cold (-17C) to see what this old Fujinon 55mm f1,8 (non EBC version) M42 mount can do with a bit of golden sunlight. Very impressed so far. Definitely performs better in good daylight. It's nicely sharp when the subject is close to the lens, even at wide apertures. The out of focus areas are interesting and the transition pleasingly gradual. It's a bit tricky getting distant subjects sharp or even in focus (struggling with infinity, don't know if this is because of the adapter but it is a bit better stopped down) but this can be used to creative advantage. This has been on my camera more often than any other lens since I picked it up. I paid about 40€ for the lens, it appears to be free of dust, fungus etc and I would be happy getting these results out of something 10x the price.
