Quartz Rock

Here is my pretty little Quartz rock I found a few days ago on my walk. The rock was dirty and all I could see a tiny bit of Quartz which I found so pretty. So when I got home I cleaned it and got quite a surprise when the whole rock was quartz. It's sitting proudly on the shelf outside next to my Kookaburra Garden ornament.

Quartz is a hard, crystalline mineral composed primarily of silicon dioxide (SiO2), commonly found in various rocks. It's the second most abundant mineral in the Earth's crust and has many forms and colors. Quartz is known for its diverse applications, ranging from gemstones like amethyst and citrine to its use in electronics and construction materials.
