With railfans going around sharing their pictures on social media everyday now and it being a normal thing, it quite a normal occurrence seeing different railroads and motive power through are feeds. Of course this is something I myself part take in as well and see all these railroads others get to shoot on a regular basis. As a normal Virginia railfan who shoot his class 1 and handful of shortline in the area, I’ve always wanted to see other class 1s with their unique power sets. This dream was recognized on my summer trip to Michigan back in 2022. Me and my buddy Charlie went down to Indiana for a day to see what we could grab. Are first stop was Gary, Indiana, where a massive CN yard is located. With it being my second day out on the rails, I was blasted with Grand Truck engines, Illinois Central SD70s, and EJ&E SD38-2s. I couldn’t believe it, it was so cool to see in person. Here one of the shots I was able to grab, GTW 4927 sitting in the yard with IC 1002 & 1021.
