Dewsbury Bus Museum
975 - WHL975
We return once again to Wakefield bus station for today’s Guy Wulfrunian photograph where we find 975 (WHL975) in the rather drab Tilling green livery that it acquired in February 1968. It is on the stand with a number 58 service to Bradford with the driver’s cab door open whilst he gets a bit of fresh air.
The wiper on the nearside windscreen is in need of attention, a problem that beset many buses at the time.
The advertisement on the side is for Welbred. This was a brand name of T. Swales bakery at the bottom of Westgate which was part of the William Jackson & Sons Limited company of Hull who are still in the bakery business today.
