[The Survivors RPG] Tournament 2 "Lights Out"

///Log Entry\\\

After commandeering the turbolaser on the Northeast Docks by the Imperial Barracks, we still had more work to do on Coruscant. Zach had requested our assistance in trying to mitigate the damage from all the riots the Futurists had instigated.

After meeting up with Zach, we headed to the downtown districts of Coruscant, trying to get a sense of the situation. We split up as we searched the streets, following the loud shouts and chants of the protesters. There weren't as many protests up here as we thought, so we left Zach to deal with the rioters while we headed down to the lower levels of Coruscant.

We soon realized the situation was far more desperate down here. Hordes of protesters filled the streets, pushing up against Imperial barricades. There were no doubt some Futurists blending in with the crowd, but we couldn't afford to try to target them with so many civilians and Imperials nearby.

"Hey Jak," I said. "Any ideas on how to shut down these riots? As much as I hate to say it, I don't think killing Imps is going to be the solution here."

Jak thought for a minute, and his face lit up with a grin.

"Follow me," he said.

We made our way up the side of a building, and began traversing the roofs of the numerous buildings lining the main riot zone.

"So what's your idea?" I asked Jak.

"I used to stop by Coruscant every once in a while, back when I was a pilot. One night I had a little speeder accident, crashed into the roof of a building, and the next thing I know all the lights on the level are out. I managed to make it out without getting in trouble, but it took them almost a day to restore the power since the wiring on all these lower levels is so old. If we can find an electrical substation, chances are we can cause a blackout."

"I like the sound of that," I said.

"There we go," Jak said. "I can see one of the electrical panels from over here."

We hurried over, and Jak got to work.

"I'll try to do things a little more quietly this time," he said.

As he opened up the panel, I peered over the edge of the building. Five riot troopers and their commanding officer stood below. The officer was starting to get agitated, as the crowds continued pushing against the barricades.

"Karabast! Jak. I think they're going to fire on the crowd. You'd better hurry."

I readied my rifle, aiming down at the officer.

"I got it," Jak yelled.

I squeezed the trigger, blasting the Imperial officer just as the lights went out.

The protesters started to disperse, dropping their signs and fleeing from the troopers. It seemed like our plan had worked.

We took the lift back up to the surface and waited for Zach. It seemed that we were one step closer to getting off of Coruscant.

\\\End Log///

This is my entry for round 2 of the tournament. I'm not completely satisfied with how the buildings turned out, and I don't know if the angle I took the picture from was the best, but I'm pretty happy with it overall. Hope you guys like it!

I also added some alternate photos if you would like to see the build from more angles: www.flickr.com/photos/190812801@N05/albums/72157717485317822
