Purple-crowned Lorikeet, Juvenile

The rainbow of colours on this elegant parrot are subtle but beautiful. Predominantly warm green, with touches of bright blue on the inner wing, red, orange, yellow, and as they develop into adulthood, a purple crown on their heads (of course!). If you look closely you can already see the beginnings of it on this young bird...
