Common Toad

Bufo bufo taken at Worthington Lakes nr. Wigan. I was walking back to my car, under some trees, when something caught my attention in the corner of my eye. It was a toad. I almost stood on it! It had some of its legs curled up against its body but as i crouched right down to get level with it it kindly moved a little into a much more pleasing pose - very thoughtful! This is one of my earliest digital photos and still one of my best. Thank you Mr Toad
