6. Coronavirus diary. These tiny lines...

The home test kits generally provide a fast and reliable result in 30 minutes and unlike PCR tests do not need to be sent to a lab.

They are designed to detect the presence of antigens found in the Covid-19 virus.

One pinkish red line next to the control marker C, indicates a negative results.

A second line next to the marker T (test) is a sign of a positive result.

But some people are reporting a faint second line on their test result. We take a look at what this may reveal.

When levels of virus are high and people are most likely to pass on the disease, lateral flow tests can detect the vast majority of cases, and a clear second line will appear on the test.

According to the gov.uk website, when a person has low levels of virus in their system lateral flow tests are less sensitive than other tests such as PCR at detecting it.

In some cases, a faint second line appears on the test. Government guidance is clear that “… even faint lines, shows the test is positive”, see in the middle of photo

Today finally I was tested Negative ...🙏❤
