The Survivors RPG Mission 3: "Return to Coruscant" (Phase 1)

This period of time has been rough. The riots have consumed much of the planet, and no sector of Coruscant was left untouched. As the riots die down, my Survivor group is challenged with cleaning up this mess.
Our group leader Zaryya says that Higher Command is sending in more Survivors to the planet, but it will take some time as it is still too dangerous to enter our area. Meanwhile, we have re-opened our base, and we are targeting a sector of the Collective Commerce district that was heavily bombed. Our scouts have reported that there are many poor and middle class citizens trapped there, and the mission phase is to get them to safety and distribute survival supplies.
As the group travels to the sector via repurposed tour transports stocked with supplies, I discuss with Zaryya and the other members on how this mission will play out. She explains that it is our current priority to help the citizens, but once more Survivors arrive we may attempt to take out some of the larger gangs that have been damaging our missions. However, she warns that we be wary of those who call themselves Survivors whom we do not know well, as there have been some defectors that now support the Empire’s new rise.
The tour transport allows us to get through many areas very quickly, as it was designed to, and as we pass several destroyed buildings I feel sudden anger at how helpless we are, without any singular group to unite us. However, I know that the Empire is not a solution. It gained power through the manipulation of people and through making them feel weak, just as the current criminal gangs are doing.
Eventually we reach our destination. It is a somewhat well-developed area of Coruscant, much unlike the Industrial Sector where we are based. The destruction is immediately obvious, as buildings which are torn apart stand precariously above us, and the ground feels unstable below our feet. In front of our group is an enormous plaza, and in the center is a gaping hole, the crater created by an incredibly powerful bomb. We slowly navigate around the chasm, tugging our hover-carts filled with supplies. A camp full of wounded and poor comes into sight, and a human comes up to greet us.
He introduces himself as Zayne, and he is happy to see us here. He explains that he organized the camp along with other volunteers, and was running out of supplies to keep the citizens fed and safe. As we distribute the survival items, I begin to realize why we are doing this. It’s the right thing, and if it weren’t for us then there would be no one to save these people. As we are almost finished up, I inspect the crater. It seems that the buildings lining the edge were untouched, but a truly enormous amount of rock and steel has been vaporized from the center of the plaza. I suspect that it may have been a purposeful coaxium explosion, but I’m not sure.
As we are leaving I still wonder how we will solve this mess. Things appear to be changing for the worse on Coruscant, and I am caught in the middle of it.
\\\Log End///
Thanks again for letting me be a part of this! I built this one all in a single session, and I had a lot of fun adding details and minifigs. I am planning to build all 3 phases, and I have a pretty good idea of what I will do for the third one. If you want to see detail shots or the build with lights on then check out my photostream. That is all!
