SERAs Hill Job and Some Cows

SERA 56 takes the lead of Sierra Northern hill job as it and some cows soak in the morning sun, the first in a couple days.

The 52 and 56 had left Oakdale around 7, a bit earlier than usually, and made there way east about 15 minutes behind the hill job extra. We chose to follow the extra for the first stretch of the line since we knew we could easily circle back onto the main job before heading up the hill to Keystone. After watching the ex-UP RP20GEs switch around tanks in Warnerville, we decided to grab one last shot at Cooperstown before turning back around on the main hill job. We had heard them early so we knew they would be working Warnerville first which gave us some time to run to Cooperstown first. I spotted them just after they had come onto the main with 5 tanks and decided a better spot would be between Cooperstown and them instead of the same shot as before. I ended climbing this hill, somewhat to the scrutiny of the cows to my left. The train rolled by and we were off to Keystone.
