The Lonely Commuter
Southwest of Baltimore sits the little village of Odenton, MD. A small brick commuter station resides there, like most older stations, signs of their age are very present. Only one light works inside the station besides the exit light and the dim light on the screen of the ticket ordering kiosk. The broken doors on the front of the station catch the wind of the passing train and vibrate as it passes, eventually swinging open violently just to slowly shut again. The heat in the depot that was holding on for dear life quickly escaped and the depot became chilly like the outside as the rumble of the Amtrak train disappeared in the distance. The pink note stating "Lobby closes at 7:00PM" will be fun for the commuters later in the day to see...
