Barbary sheep (Ammotragus lervia) make their way among stones and blossoming ocotillo (Fouquieria splendens) above the Upper Burro Mesa Pour-off trail in Big Bend National Park in west Texas. Commonly called aoudads, they are native to North Africa and have been introduced to Spain and the American Southwest.
