Local Light

Early evening light floods the neighborhood while eleven miles north by northeast the Sandias of central New Mexico stand barely visible within the shadows of heavy rain clouds. This is the view from my home of 24 years, and I don't think I've very seen the light-dark contrast so pronounced when the air was so clear.
