Abó Dry Stream Bed

The Abó pueblo and mission were served by streams from the Manzano Mountains, but they were often dry. Harsh climate, Apache raids, and strife among Franciscans, Spanish civil leaders, and pueblo people led to the abandonment of the pueblo and mission by 1673.
