Green Comet in Ursa Minor
I spotted Comet C/2022 E2 (ZTF) Friday morning with binoculars, but followed up this morning (Saturday, January 28, 2023) with my 25 cm reflecting telescope. I observed from within Albuquerque city limits, so my sky was not dark, and I could see only the comet's bright center. Alas, I could not see the alleged green color. Still, I enjoyed watching it shift position moment to moment relative to the background stars prominently visible with through the telescope.
My drew with a Faber-Castell oil-based colored pencil (white) on a sheet of Strathmore Artagain coal black paper.
