Hyakutake at the Pole

Twenty-five years ago this week, the Comet Hyakutake passed close to the Earth and almost directly over its north pole. This image was captured on 35mm Ektachrome 200, using a 55mm, f2 lens and exposed 1 minute from a stationary tripod from Forks Township, Pennsylvania. Time: 01:50 UT, 27 March 1996.
