Financial Literacy Fair
by ma-web
In recognition of April being Financial Literacy Month, the Accounting, Business and Marketing department hosted a Financial Literacy Fair. The fair is a simulation event that teaches students about financial management in a fun and interactive way. At the fair, students were given a fictional occupation and salary, and then had to navigate through various financial scenarios such as paying rent, buying groceries and managing debt. Students were also introduced to real-world financial concepts such as budgeting, credit scores and investing. The goal of the financial reality fair is to give students a realistic perspective on how to manage their finances and make informed decisions about their future. The purpose of Financial Literacy Month is to promote financial education and literacy among individuals, particularly young people, to help them make informed decisions about their finances. The goal is to empower individuals to take control of their financial futures and make smart financial decisions that will benefit them in the long run.
