Back Home to Euclid #2
While looking for photos from a US holiday back in 2009, I found these two old shots. The dates and the camera tell me that after I got back home, I went to my own hometown Melbourne CBD to look at it through fresh eyes and the camera I had just bought in New York. (The camera had a fine reputation at the time, but phone cameras have stolen the niche it and its type occupied.) The shots were taken at the back of Federation Square, the site of a Branch of the National Gallery of Victoria. This one looks over Princes Bridge to Eureka Towers, an iconic Melbourne landmark that has featured in quite a few of my earlier uploads from later times.
As with so many of my shots, they need to be looked at large scale.
