In Front of a South(-East) Cathedral Door

The liturgical orientation of St Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne differs by about 45 degrees from geographical orientation. This "south door" is more like south east. The spire visible here is one of two symmetric flanking spires at the west end.

It is quite difficult to find a street-level vantage point that shows in full the elegant bluestone neo-Gothic Cathedral. This image looks more realistic when viewed at large scale.
