Time for One More Reminiscence
My cherished wife, full of life, in hospital the day before she succumbed to a relentless heartless disease. She is relating to her brother and daughter the favourite story of how her own mother fell off a ladder at the age of 92 while trying to prune a lemon tree (more evident in the sequential image in the first comment and here: Clippers and Ladders)
By rights she should have lived to the same age herself. Her seemingly effortless accommodation to all the phases of life, including its end, were beyond my comprehension.
(My back was against the wall of the ward and this was the best I could do to fit all three into a symmetric composition.)
