Variation 5 of 13 -- Mirror, Mirror off the Wall, Who Has Fairest Feet of All?

This was excluded as an addition to a set of variations on a theme of female feet with mirror and carpet, but I thought it made a fair cover for the associated album, 'Footnotes'. However, without tags or groups, it started to get attention as much as the others, so here it is in its own right.

Just one small continuous zone, comprising only about 5% of the total X-Y area of this picture, depicts all that is within the Z dimension DoF. Ideally I’d have had an SLR with a fast bit of bottle up front for this arrangement, but, wide open at its zoom setting, my little Canon managed an OK bokeh. It also picked up in the nail gloss some reflections of the window light source, therefore reflections of reflections.

Late addition of the fifth variation revealed to me why I had difficulty getting acceptable colour for this image. A region of the pattern in the shiny silk rug reflected an olive green light onto the insteps of the virtual feet.

(For the sake of the group ‘I adore the women second toe’, I point out that the virtual left second toe and the real right second toe here closely adhere to ‘The Rule of Thirds’! The first also sits in the Greatest Area of Contrast (or better, the area of greatest contrast) -- see annotation. 😂
