Variation 4 of 13 -- Cinderella through the Looking Glass

My favourite window sidelight setup, similar to the first of the series, but brighter, at different times of year and day. Also, different ISO and focal plane, yielding more DoF and crispness. Change of nail polish, different rug, more of cushion showing*.

An addition is the draping of the mirror chain around one foot. This set off a chain reaction of associations that led to the title. The curve of the chain suggested the delicate footwear that I like on a dainty feminine foot; and, while the looking glass evoked Alice, the combination of footwear and glass made me think of Cinderella and her slipper†.

* The cushion is made from a tribal Nasrabad bag, and the rug is an Isfahan wool weave inlaid with silk, which glints in the side lighting. To see this properly and get the best overall impact, the image needs to be viewed large scale -- a 27" monitor is better than a phone!

† For those with a physics background, the Principle of Minimum Energy impels the chain to slip into the minimum path ('geodesic’) from toe cleft to behind the ankle, and back around the other side of the foot. I like the way the chain reveals subtle changes in foot curvature, and that on one side it found a vein to run parallel to.
