Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre through Seafarers Bridge

Some years back my wife and I worked at the opposite ends of the City of Melbourne. Her job gave her a car-parking spot. I got a lift with her to the east end of town and then walked westwards across the city, a different route every day, until I had done them all. The light was often benign and occasionally I would take a snap with one or other early model iPhone.

The Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre precinct was on one such route. The stark dry-atmosphere summer light was suited to the subject, but three days later the temperature climbed to a record 46.4C and humidity dropped to around 2%, resulting in catastrophic bushfires that ravaged surrounds of Melbourne and beyond.

The image in the comments shows the camera positions for this and the two preceding photos in my stream.
