What Is It? #1

But then, who cares what it is?

A mother and son, a sister and brother, and an uncle and nephew, all out for a bayside stroll on a rare get-together back home where sister and brother grew up. (In one case really 'out'.)

A slightly unusual portrait perhaps. Only a small area within the frame is in focus, but that seems not to matter. Bokeh regions emerged with velvety texture, harmonious tonal contrast, and subtle boundaries.

Some sort of pleasing ‘edge effect’ seems to be going on around the area where the tip of the sister’s nose aligns with the rim of her brother's woollen pullover. (The greater the enlargement, the more is revealed here.)
