At the time, I felt I hadn't quite nailed the technicalities, except perhaps for a 'decisive moment'. Now I perceive and value that I did succeed in capturing the character of the sitter...

 

The object she is holding came from Vienna and is a weight for keeping a book open flat*.

 

The superb lens was sufficiently wide open that the earrings began to transition into bokeh.

 

Petri FT EE, F1.8 55mm, Kodak Plus X, indoors but natural light.

 

* There is now a correction for this in my 2020 Hindsight album.
